I use these primarily with a chain saw. They are comfortable, and keep the noise down to an acceptable level. Lots of products will block the sound effectively. The most important point for me is that they are more comfortable than other plugs and protectors I've tried.

I bought the Peltor President Hearing Protector to use at the shooting range and I was very impressed with the quality! I shot 400 rounds on day 1 and barely heard the shots. I highly recommend them!!!
Comfortable sound reduction August 2, 2010

My doctor suggested that I start using sound protection when I use outdoor power tools and when I do woodworking. I have bought four different products now for that purpose/ This is one of the two best. It is light and very comfortable. I was afraid that it might be hot but that is not the case. It also protects my ears from the sun as I ride on my garden tractor. I would buy these again.

Unlucky
Right side was blocked sound pretty well but left side made a whistling side. Very annoying. Had to return it.
