About Stanley's Illumination Tools
Stanley makes a wide assortment of lights for use in your workshop, garage, or job site--with tripods, angled heads, and brilliant bulbs to illuminate even the darkest corners.

About the 95-112 Tripod
Stanley's 95-112 Tripod flashlight has an innovative tripod design that offers hands-free convenience in all kinds of settings. Use it in the garage to see deep inside a car, or use it in the attic for a bit of awkward home improvement -- this light is always up to the job, and it never slips, slides, or topples.

But the 95-112 Tripod's weather-resistant anodized aluminum space frame construction make it ideal for more than just indoor applications; it's also great for camping, or as an emergency back-up light. Durable, rugged, and ready to take a beating, the 95-112 Tripod never quits or shatters. The multi-position head focuses light exactly where you need it, and you can expect a runtime of well over 200 hours on just nine AA batteries.

Key Technical Specs:

  • Runtime: over 200 hours with 9 AA batteries
  • Multi-position head
  • Runs on 3, 6, or 9 AA batteries (not included)

Applications
Because the 95-112 Tripod is so tough, it's great for almost any low-light situation. Set it up while you work in a dark corner of the garage or basement, throw it into your backpack before a camping trip, or leave it in the car in case of emergency.

Warranty
Stanley covers this exceptional product with a limited lifetime warranty.

2 out of 5 stars Great Concept, but does not perform as it could   February 21, 2010
Craig A. Vanmeter (Sparky, USA)
I am something of a collector of flashlights. In recent years I have purchased several dozen LED based flashlights. From cheap 3 dollar versions like you see as impulse items by hardware store registers, to military / law enforcement versions running over $200 "SureFire, Steamlight....."
With these tripod lights being so cheap around Christmas, I purchased 8 to give friends as stocking stuffers. The self standing feature seemed like a great asset and handy during winter power outages. Seeing that it utilized one of the new generation of "chip" based CREE type LEDs, I expected the typical very white beam. As a few others have mentioned, it has a rather blueish center beam with a yellowish ring surrounding. These must use the cheapest of cheap chip type LED's that the market has to offer. I have never seen this even from some very cheap ebay sold flashlights exported from China which use the same type chip.

I think others have commented enough on the body design not holding up to much abuse. The best feature that these flashlights do provide is the multi battery option. The power coming from the batteries in each leg is fed to the bulb in parallel, so the bulb will only see 4.5 volts despite installing the additional 6 batteries "all 3 legs" The additional batteries should provide a great amount of additional run time.

In a nut shell, I would say that if your looking for something that can provide a very white, long throwing beam, these fall short. You can get flashlights that throw out a good deal more lumens for the same price. If the quality of the light is not as important as the self standing feature and run time, the $10 I got these for makes them an OK deal.

5 out of 5 stars Great & Useful   February 7, 2010
Doug E. Dragon (Pembroke, NH USA)
Great and useful product. tripod and tilting head allows you to stand the light anywhere. Batteries go into the legs and you don't need to put batteries in all three legs; only need one leg of batteries.

2 out of 5 stars Poor quality, not that bright   February 4, 2010
Trevor Rowe
I bought this light in a 3 pack (it came originally with a key-chain, small and large version). All 3 suffered the same fate after very few uses. The tripod would stop collapsing and would be stuck open. The light has 3 intensities and its annoying to cycle through them. Its also not very bright compared to other lights in the same price range.

4 out of 5 stars An OK tripod light. Not the brightest.   January 30, 2010
Pam & Raj (MORRISVILLE, NC, US)
Feel flimsy tho sturdy.
Dumb idea to put the on/off button and tripod release button right beside each other. The tripod release button just moves the magnet strip away from the leg contacts, so the legs swing open.... but they can be manually open.. so no point in that feature anyways.
LED light intensity is ok for focused work like automobile repairs etc. but not great for work that has work area of more than a sq.ft.

I use this as a emergency flash light in the car and it work great for that purpose.
For the price I paid, its ok deal.
Compact, light weight and easy to carry. Good for occasional user. I would not recommended for professionals/frequent users.

2 out of 5 stars Bad color   January 25, 2010
Jax (Boston, MA)
I had high hopes for this light, but I *hate* the color that the single LED produces. It is sort of faintly yellowish with deep blue in the center. Not much light for 3 AA's either.
Blah, back it goes.
