Much stiffer and heavier than it looks online December 17, 2008 N. Schweitzer (Tempe, AZ United States) I bought this cable thinking I would use it to thread through my bike seat to keep it from getting stolen (using a separate lock for the bike itself). This cable is actually very sturdy and thick enough to use on an entire low-value bike. The cable is stiff and heavy, and it is too big as a seat-keeper.

11/28/08 - Buyer Beware: I had two bicycles stolen (over $1400 value) from my garage when a thief cut through a related product OnGuard Akita 5080 Bicycle Security Cable (Lock Not Included) in one slice. Looks like they used a chain cutter. Unless you're using this as a theft deterrent or for low value items, don't fool yourself that you're buying security.
can't beat the value - good cable August 20, 2008 D. Lee Excellent cable to be used as secondary (you should really never lock your bike with cable only). it's a bit longer than i thought, but that's my fault. Sturdy and well made, if you have this around a tire for a supplemental measure, trust me, no one will bother trying to take your wheels. Good Product!

Good design and well built cable. Ends are large enough to wrap many things through. Perfect length to lock both tires of a bike with (it's a little tight at first, but with practice one can figure out how to make the cable reach a little further). Perfect for bikes with quick release tires. Should be used in conjunction with a fortified O-lock or U-Bolt for best results.

A well made product. Besides bicycles I use them to secure items to my camper or truck such as outdoor furniture, grill etc. to help keep them from "walking away" when we are not around.
