It served its purpose well! :-) June 2, 2010 Chester P. Sgroi (Los Angeles, California U.S.A.) I am a visually impaired guy who used this exact head lamp to walk home very late at night on a daily basis and all I can say is that this thing has been a life saver literally in enabling me to see curbs, holes, and other obstructions in time to avoid them. Also, this bright light makes me very visible to oncoming traffic in such situations where I have to walk on the road shoulder at night PLUS I can now read street signs in unfamiliar neighborhoods! I did give this hiking light 4 out of 5 stars, though, because the front light cover came off and was lost. Even so, it still works reliably and is a great value and a good deal price-wise! However, at the date of this writing I only use this light now as a reliable back-up due to the recent purchase of a much more durable, brighter (and more expensive) Princeton Tec hiking light which I absolutely adore. Advice: Look for a hiking lamp with the highest lumen number which indicates its brightness.
Petzl is great March 17, 2010 schmecher (Los Angeles, CA United States) This is my second Petzel. I prefer the wire band over this elastic band fashion-wise. This one is very discernible in public. But this one is better because you can adjust the angle with just a click. Make sure you use rechargeable batteries with this. These are one of those few products you never knew how you lived without all these years.
Great Product! February 15, 2010 L. Williams I purchased this for my wife as a gift. I had recently gone on a camping trip and noticed everyone using these headband-lights. I knew my wife was looking for a reading lamp for when she reads in bed, and I thought this would work quite well. She loved it, and now uses it for all sorts of tasks. I might 'borrow' it the next time I go camping.
High quality light January 12, 2010 Orlando Gil (DR) Great quality, feels good, fits good and battery lasts a lifetime!
It gives a very powerful light beam; this is a high quality product!
Good Investment January 9, 2010 BOSCO1 I use this product for running in the woods at night time. It is light, doesn't slip down, lights an adequate distance and the up/down adjustments for the light angle are quite useful. The only weird thing about this light is that if you drop it(even lightly)it pops open with the potential for the batteries to fall out. I just hope that never happens when I'm in the middle of the woods at night! Otherwise, I am happy with my purchase.
